We come to you as sometimes, not always, faithful people.
We intend to follow you, but find ourselves heading elsewhere.
We intend to serve you, but find ourselves preferring another.
So we rejoice that you are the faithful one,
The God who seeks us out, leaving no stone unturned
The God who waits for us, however long it takes
The God who yearns for us even as we chase after other gods.
We give thanks for the connection you make and keep,
The connection that neither depth nor height
angels nor principalities
life nor death
nor anything, anywhere, anytime
